Detailed Answer

Home health aides support individuals with long-term and personal care needs. Many home health aides work in their patient's homes. Some aides may also work in community centers or home health agencies.

Home health aides usually work under the supervision of higher-level medical staff. This can include therapists, doctors, or registered nurses.

Home health aides specialize in helping with custodial care needs. This includes help with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). This does not include help with more intricate medical care like skilled nursing or therapy.
