A Licensed Nursing Assistant, or LNA, provides hands-on care and assistance to patients and nursing-home residents under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals. LNAs may help with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, and mobility. Vermont uses the term LNA; similar workers are commonly called Certified Nursing Assistants, or CNAs, in many other states.
